Edmondo Tinetti

Biografia

I  have been in the entertainment Business for 40 years.  But all through those years I have approached my work as an Artist. In the theatre I was an actor, director and producer. I was a founding member of theatre company called Theater Forte, in San Francisco. I then became certified as an editor through Apple’s certification program. And so I began my career as a filmmaker working as an editor. Increasingly clients wanted more than an editor so I expanded my skill set to include color correction, motion graphics and DIT (digital image technician).  I attended the Coloring Academy in London to augment my understanding of color in the digital world. Now I have moved away from that work and I decided to create a project that is all mine.  Two years ago I decided to make art through digital photography using my knowledge of the Apple iPhone 12 pro.  I have lived in Italy for the last decade. The light in Italy inspires me and I was drawn to it in the same way the grand masters of painting have been.  I have visited so many European museums to simply gaze at images of the past but these images are still present now. I am an ordinary man leading an extraordinary life.  This statement gives insight into my quest, to capture ordinary things and make them extraordinary through light changes, shadows and the colors of dawn and sunset and the times in-between.  All of these elements can also inspire a story in one photograph. I don’t believe all of my photographs will touch everyone. But if one does then I am happy.

Ed Tinetti has created a beautiful collection of photographs spanning the Americas and Europe, each one filled with vibrant colors, striking landscapes, and a wonderful sense of place.
My favorite is Fields of Romano, where Ed captures an open field with the village and church nestled against the mountains in the background. There is something about this photograph that I can’t quite put into words. Every time I look at it, my shoulders drop, I take a breath, and I feel an incredible sense of calm.
I purchased a copy of Fields of Romano, and it now has a special place in my living room. It has become my little escape—a chance to step away from the demands of everyday life and visit Romano Canavese, Italy, without ever leaving my home.
Beautiful photography can transport you to another place. Ed’s Fields of Romano does exactly that for me.

Consider myself fortunate to share my living space with one of Mr. Tinetti’s images.
I don’t know what the title is but the image is so strong and evocative of a marble sculpture of a torso that appears to be covered in elaborate tattoos.
Both the sculpture itself and Mr. Tinetti’s capturing the power and sensuality of the image is a wonderful melding of two  talented artists.

Laurel Norris

Gorgio Baret, Switzerland 3 photos: Autumn Burst, Forest of the vineyard and Winter Pathway.

A walk in an autumn or winter forest, at the first rays of light ..... it's not just what Edmondo photographs.
It's how he does it.
The characteristics of his style are unmistakable:
- The use of light is a source of inspiration. Luminescent and bright as the light filters through the
branches of the trees: each shot is unique.
- The colors are soft, warm, never aggressive, they wrap you in an embrace.
- Every detail seems to tell a centuries-old story.
- Live the experience of looking at a painted canvas, more than just a photo.
His technique not only adds depth and dimension to the image, but he knows how to create an atmosphere
full of emotional intensity.
At first glance, his photography evokes a deep sense of stillness and introspection. It is not a simple
documentation of a landscape, but the visual expression of a state of mind: the sweet melancholy and
regenerating solitude that only nature can offer.
